Federal Stafford and PLUS loan terms and conditions have been changed by the Higher Education Reconciliation Act of 2005, the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007 (CCRAA), the Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act of 2008 and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.

Follow the links below to read the new Plain Language Disclosures and Addenda. These documents provide a summary of the important terms and conditions of your loan(s) and reflect the changes made by the laws mentioned above.

An Addendum is provided to a prospective FFELP borrower along with a Master Promissory Note (MPN) when loan terms and conditions have changed. It is used to explain the new provisions until a revised MPN can be implemented. The Plain Language Disclosure also describes the changes to the loan terms and is provided to a borrower of additional loans under an existing MPN.
